2022-2023 Graduates

Congratulations to the 2022-2023 UJUMP graduates! On May 5th, 2023, Cheese Johnson and the UJUMP team celebrated the successes of the kids with an event to remember. Gary Houston (brother of Whitney Houston) gave an empowering performance the kids (and parents) will never forget.

As we wrap up this season, we are looking ahead to 2023-2024 and the next round of crossroads kids. Please consider getting involved so together we can make sure all kids have a chance to succeed!

Tip-Off for Pilot School Year

Cheese Johnson will monitor these students’ progress as they advance towards graduation. At the same time he will grow the UJUMP Program by adding a new team of students each school year.

The initial phase of this pilot project starts in the 2021-22 academic year. It will include 24 fifth and sixth grade students from four local schools. The schools involved in the first year pilot program include: Andover Central Middle School, Brooks Middle School, Gordon Parks Academy, Prairie Creek Elementary School and Wichita Collegiate School. Students will come from different socioeconomic levels and selected by the school administration as students at the “crossroads.”
